Caption: "Building Blocks" is a granite sculpture by artist Steven Woodward installed on the plaza area in front of the Waisman Center. The artwork is funded by the Wisconsin Arts Board's Percent for Art Program requiring any state building project costing $250,000 or more to allocate at least two-thirds of one percent of the total construction cost for purchasing publicly accessible works of art.
